Friends, Food, Fun, Fire
The cabin. The hut. The cottage. The chalet. No matter what you call it, it’s still your favourite place in the world. It’s the place you escape to after a crazy week at work. The place where friends, kids and dogs are always welcome. Where epic board game tournaments happen. It’s where building snow forts brings warmth to the heart and pink to the cheeks.
The chalet is more than an escape by the lake. It’s a place where memories are made and traditions are born. Where marshmallows are burnt to a delicious crisp and where the floors are always a little sticky. Where the sky is full of stars and the night is heavy with peaceful silence. The chalet is where John and Christine got engaged in front of their friends, where Mark finally nailed that tough guitar riff, where Jennifer tried (and failed) to impress with her infamous « pimento s’mores » and where Mom has an endless supply of hand-crocheted slippers for everyone. The chalet is where you play outside just like when you were a kid, stuck knee-deep in pure, untouched snow, laughing towards the sky.
The chalet is all of these things. But most of all, it’s home.
